Join the White Women, Get Ready Book Group
WWGR Book Group
The WWGR Book Group will meet twice monthly to delve into White Women, Get Ready in community and with the author. This consciousness-raising, intersectional anti-racist organizing and education space is an opportunity to practice within community as we consider our positions, power, and agency as status quo and passing white ladies with the goal of dismantling oppression. Be a part of co-creating new healthy, holistic, and humanistic collective identities around our shared experience of white womanhood.
Our first session starts Sunday, October 6th
Sign up for the “White Women’s Book Group” patreon tier to join before October 6th.
Amanda’s facilitation of the WWG space gave me a safe place to dig into that discomfort – to be unsure, to try and fail spectacularly, to give myself compassion, get up, try again, fail again, let go of perfectionism, and continue to grow. Because things can be scary AND exciting, and often in that place of discomfort is where the magic happens.

Mistress Syndrome and Amanda have been integral in my sacred, lifelong work toward racial justice and collective liberation. I have developed life-giving friendships with others on a similar journey, through Mistress Syndrome's White Women's Groups. I am now pursuing a Master of Divinity with a focus on embodied racial justice through an ecofeminist lens. I feel deeply connected with myself, with humans on a collective racial justice journey and with the earth. I feel alive and nourished and profoundly grateful for Amanda, Mistress Syndrome, and all we have co-created throughout our time together.

Our families are diverse and multi-faceted! Family may include family of origin, adoptive family, biological family, ancestral family, and/or chosen family.
I didn't realize how much I needed this opportunity until I was sitting in the space connecting with peers in an honest, open, vulnerable exploration of the legacy of whiteness and white dominant culture that we have learned and inherited from our ancestors. Engaging in this space has allowed me to challenge myself in ways I couldn't have achieved otherwise, and this has a lot to do with Amanda's facilitation style and the space she guided us to create together. I am grateful to have built relationships and engaged in this critical topic in ways that will continue to carry me forward on my journey toward liberation!

I've had the opportunity to participate in Amanda's Workshops and I've hired Amanda as a consultant to help me think about building an equitable and sustainable foundation for my small business. Both were insightful and meaningful experiences. Amanda creates a setting that allows for compassion, curiosity, exploration, and honest reflection rather than one of denial, shame, or suppression, which I have found in conversations surrounding the “Big 8” – “race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender identity, ability, religion/spirituality, nationality, and socioeconomic status.” This setting provides the room for actual learning and growth work. I also learned from Amanda how taking care of myself in my work is a radical form of change and resistance. I highly recommend investing in time with Amanda, it is invaluable and a chance to be a part of a collective shift.

Amanda is a one-of-a-kind teacher, co-conspirator, and friend. You are guaranteed to step out of your comfort zone, do challenging essential work, and learn a thing or two, no matter what class or workshop you attend. In my case, her family history workshop pushed me in new directions as I continued the work of delving into my own past. It was a phenomenal experience and I met some great people along the way.
